Bauhaus Calender 2019

The Bauhaus calendar presents scenes from the famous historical “Bauhaus Albums” created as photographic archive by Bauhaus since 1921.

Glitchouse Dada Data Knit

Under the name NOTENDO, Jeff Donaldson stages audiovisual performances on a modified game console from the 80s. Fascinated by the similarities of the consciously generated but at the same time accidental disturbances – glitches – with textile patterns and structures he began to implement these patterns on knitting machines in fashion textiles. One step further is his data knits, for which he translated well-known computer viruses (I Love You, Stuxnet) into knitted patterns.

The Staatliche Bauhaus, founded in 1919 in Weimar, stands for the reform of the lifeworld through a design that answers the questions of its time. These answers disregard the prevailing conventions in teaching, theory and practice - and are still a world leading reference in art, graphics, design, architecture and urbanism.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus, we present our Bauhaus100 Collection.
